Johnny Depp was “staggered” by the beauty of thriller ‘Murder on the Orient Express’.
The 54-year-old actor stars as Edward Ratchett in the new Sir Kenneth Branagh adaptation of the popular Agatha Christie whodunit novel of the same name, and Depp was so impressed with the British filmmaker that he would work with him again in a heartbeat. Speaking at the world premiere of the movie at The Royal Albert Hall, in London, on Thursday (11.02.17), Depp said: “I was staggered by the beauty of the film. Just seeing every piece of the puzzle come together in the beautiful way that Kenneth constructed the film. He’s a force to be reckoned with, a genius. I’d film anything he wanted to film with me.”
‘Murder on the Orient Express’ follows Belgian detective Hercule Poirot who finds himself wrapped in a murder mystery after a passenger is murdered during the lavish trip through Europe.
The film sees Branagh portray Poirot and features an all-star cast including Dame Judi Dench, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Josh Gad, Penelope Cruz and Willem Dafoe.
Although the film has a number of Hollywood greats, Depp admitted Dench was his favorite co-star to work with.
He gushed: “Judi Dench is my one true love. She levitates.”
